The townhouse at Distinctive Alpine Meadows was absolutely stunning with a breathtaking view of Lake Wakatipu. It was only a short drive or a slightly longer walk to town, making it convenient for exploring. The outdoor sitting area and BBQ pit were perfect for enjoying the scenery, and the balcony provided a great spot for sipping wine and taking in the beautiful lake views. The house was warm, clean, and had a fully equipped kitchen for those who enjoy cooking. The two spacious rooms and well-stocked bathroom made it a comfortable and relaxing holiday. We definitely plan to come back, maybe next time with a private spa.
There were no fans in the bedrooms, which made for some uncomfortable nights due to the heat. Additionally, the dishwasher was not working during our entire 5-day stay, despite our daily attempts to communicate with the property manager for a fix.

The views were jaw-dropping, and we loved using the spa and watching films on Disney +. The townhouse was super clean, spacious, and had all the modern comforts we needed. The coffee pods for the Nespresso machine were a nice touch. The location was great, with a lovely local cafe and shop nearby, and a bus stop just across the road. The trail walk into town was like a mini tramp and the hill walk wasn't bad after all. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it!

I recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment offering a real good experience. Cozy venue, it has views over the lake and away from the hustle of the town below. There is comfortable bed with electric blankets, down pillows and hypo-allergenic pillows, very useful.

Had the most incredible Christmas at this hotel! the townhouse was absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking view of the lake. It was just a short drive or walk to the town, which was perfect for exploring and grabbing a bite to eat. the house itself was warm and cozy, with a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking a breeze. the beds were huge and so comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of festivities. And the best part? We could enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony, taking in the views of the lake. Bliss!
it would have been helpful to have received the lock box codes in advance, as we had to scramble to find wifi to access our emails upon arrival. the bedrooms were quite small, especially the second bedroom which felt more like a single room with a double bed.

The room was like a cozy cabin with all the amenities I needed, like a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. It made me feel right at home. The private balcony with a stunning lake view was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beautiful scenery. The flat-screen Smart TVs in every room were a great bonus, allowing me to catch up on my favorite shows and movies. I loved having a hot tub in the villa! It was such a treat to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring. The comfortable seating area and air conditioning in the villa made it a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Personally, I didn't make use of the tumble dryer in the apartment, but I can see how it would be convenient for other guests.

We stayed at the hotel with our family for a few days and had an amazing time. The view from our villa was breathtaking, with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the outdoor area was spacious and private. The highlight was definitely the private jacuzzi in the townhouse, which easily fit 4-5 adults. The location was convenient, just a 2-minute drive to the town center. We also appreciated the warm welcome from the host, Mala. We will definitely be returning.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher was a lifesaver during our stay. We cooked up a storm and felt like master chefs in our own little culinary paradise. It was like having Gordon Ramsay as our personal sous chef!
Washer takes forever.

We had a comfortable stay in a residential area close to the downtown area. The view from our room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful lake. The beds were very comfortable with lovely crispy white linen. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the convenience of having a proper coffee machine. The bathroom had all the necessary toiletries and fluffy clean towels. The smart TVs and hot tub added a touch of luxury to our stay.
The balcony/balustrade can be a bit dangerous for young kids, as it is low and wobbly.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
